{"id":10749,"date":"2021-11-25T12:06:38","date_gmt":"2021-11-25T12:06:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/primeirosanos.com\/en\/?p=10749"},"modified":"2021-11-25T12:09:12","modified_gmt":"2021-11-25T12:09:12","slug":"pact-for-childhood-children-a-national-priority","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/primeirosanos.com\/en\/2021\/11\/25\/pact-for-childhood-children-a-national-priority\/","title":{"rendered":"Pact for Childhood \u2013 Children, a national priority"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"10749\" class=\"elementor elementor-10749\" data-elementor-settings=\"[]\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-section-wrap\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-5019ccc elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default default-style\" data-id=\"5019ccc\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-settings=\"{&quot;rt_color_sets&quot;:&quot;default-style&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-row\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-6d95eb3a\" data-id=\"6d95eb3a\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7609b383 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7609b383\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\"><p><em>Building a new opportunity for the wellbeing, child development and happiness of all Portuguese children is a task for the whole of Portuguese society, which places irrevocable political responsibilities on the State and Government, and requires the mobilisation of all citizens.<\/em><\/p><p>On 20 November 2021, we celebrated the 32nd anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, approved by the United Nations General Assembly in 1989 and ratified by Portugal, in the Portuguese Parliament, on 21 September 2020.<\/p><p>Reinforcing the significance of this day is the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/prochildcolab.pt\/pacto-para-a-infancia\/\">Pact for Childhood<\/a><\/strong> initiative, promoted by ProChild CoLAB, partner of the <strong>Primeiros Anos<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.primeirosanos.com\"><strong>a Nossa Prioridade<\/strong><\/a> Campaign.<\/p><p>This Pact will be presented to the sovereignty and political power bodies, as well as the services and organisms of the State, companies, and social organisations, to assume, within the scope of their sphere of action and influence, children as a national priority, through the adoption of active public policy measures and concrete actions capable of guaranteeing the opportunity for all children to develop in a more cohesive, healthy and sustainable society.<\/p><p><em>The instruments for responding to the pandemic crisis and for projecting a new future environmentally more balanced and socially marked by greater cohesion and social inclusion, need to be much more ambitious in terms of childhood policies.<\/em><\/p><p>Portuguese society has the opportunity to create the conditions to guarantee the adoption of the necessary measures in all these areas.
