Pedagogical Guidelines for Creche: the right beginning
The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security have approved the Pedagogical Guidelines for Creche (OPC), in line with national and international commitments regarding education from birth to 3 years of age, as a right of the child and the family.
The OPCs aim to support the quality of pedagogical practices in nursery schools (0-3 years), in close articulation and coherence with the Curriculum Guidelines for Pre-school Education (3-6 years), based on the same foundations and principles of pedagogy for infancy (0-6 years).
The document, and its approval, meets one of the Main Challenges announced in October 2023 in the Proposals for Action:
8º. The discussion and approval of pedagogical guidelines for nursery schools in line with pre-school.
